The Medical Association of Atlanta was founded in 1884 as the Fulton County Medical Society. The Auxiliary to the Fulton County Medical Society was founded on November 20, 1923 for the purpose of extending the medical profession's aims to other women's groups, to provide entertainment for all medical society meetings and to promote goodwill among physicians' families.
